Curbside Recycling...
On August 24, 2007 the Town of Fenwick Island Town Council unanimously approved an agreement with Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) to offer all town residents curbside recycling.
This program is being offered to town residents at no additional cost. Throughout the months of October to April residential curbside recycling pick-up will be the first and third Fridays of the month. During the months of May to September the pick-up will be weekly on Fridays.
Residents who sign up for the program receive a 65-gallon cart on wheels for plastic narrow neck bottles, plastic grocery bags, aluminum, steel and empty aerosol cans, newspapers, junk mail, and corrugated cardboard. Sign up at any time, there is no deadline. For more information on this program or any other DSWA program please call the Citizen’s Response Line at 1-800-404-7080.
Please
note, the Town of Fenwick Island will continue
to support the Fenwick Island Lions Club aluminum can collection. The bin
behind town hall and the containers on the beach ends [summer] will remain
available for your donations. Please utilize these containers.
